Alphabet Letters Laminated Mats, Letter A - E Playdough, writing, reading EYFS, Early Years KS1 NEW I have attached the alphabet mat for the letter A - E. Students have 6 different tasks to complete for each letter as follows: Trace the dotted letters with a pencil carefully. Create the letters using playdough (if not using playdoug they can colour instead). Find the upper and lower case versions of the letter. Colour in the images that begin with this letter. Read the words to another pupil / adult who then ticks the words. Finally, they must write the upper and lower case versions of the letter to complete the story! This is a great resource that keeps the children engaged for a long time. Once they finish they can get the next letter (I will be adding letters F-Z if this resources is popular - please download and review it for this reason). Book Review Detailed Worksheet Activity (2 Page) NEW A4 Rating, Character, Setting, Plot Points etc. A more detailed book review activity that inlcudes two A4 worksheets with more space to write than others found online. The students thoroughly enjoyed creating these from their favourite books and we displayed them in our reading corner.

Please find attached: Lancashire KLIPS and LAPS Coverage Assessment and Data Tracking Tool For Writing Years 1,2,3,4,5,6. Fill in this document at the end of each lesson, week or unit to track the children’s progress. The document uses Lancashire KLIPS and LAPS - the LAPS are labelled 1,2 or 3 where relevant (grey crosses means there are no laps for that particular objective). Please find attached Year 4 Whole Year of Spelling Lists and Rules for New Curriculum Spelling Homework Template. I use the document once a week for a whole year. The coloured rectangles on each page are used to hide the words when doing a spelling test. Images on many slides math the key words. I’ve also included a template of words - please edit this on a weekly basis depending on which word list you are sending home. Please find attached a resource to promote reading: ERIC - Everyone Reading In Class (Reading resource poster and door sign). At my school I printed and laminated the sign for the door and I have the other rules image on display. I normally play music on youtube (the link for this is attached). The attached files consist of a full year’s worth (52 separate slides) of fantasy like images that can be used as story starters and othr ideas with your class. Each slide has 1 detailed image of a fantasy land. You can use one a week or simply print them all 12 to a page for and chop them up for children to describe and stick in their books.
